Program Overview

Business-Friendly Entry to the Canadian Prairies

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) Business Investor Stream targets experienced entrepreneurs willing to invest in and actively manage a Manitoba-based business.

Winnipeg — Canada's 8th-largest city — offers a central location, gateway access to U.S. markets, and a diverse labour pool. Manitoba's cost of living is substantially lower than Toronto or Vancouver.

Key Advantage: Manitoba accepts a wider range of business sectors and has one of the most flexible interpretations of 'eligible business' of all Canadian provinces.

Two pathways:

  • Entrepreneur Pathway: Establish or buy a business; active management required
  • Farm Investor Pathway: Purchase and operate a Manitoba farm (min. CAD 300K equity)
